2009 Academy Awards Winners List
The 2009 Academy Awards took place at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, Calif. on Feb. 22. and the big winner of the night was Slumdog Millionaire, which nabbed eight major awards. Here's the list of winners in the major categories: Best Actress

do they realize that they are glorifing someone who overdosed on drugs???? anyone else in the world that o.d.'s doesn't get a frickin' award, they get called maggot and nobody cares. why is he so special? he needed to wash his frickin' hair!!!!!

Why is everyone hating on Heath? He won an oscar because he was truly magnificent. He was picked to win even BEFORE his death. Seriously!

I am very suprised that Meryl Streep, didn't win. She had a really good year.

Kate Winslet sooo deserved to win!!! I was so happy for her and her speak was very charming so good for her work to be credited!!!!

I wanted Mickey Rourke to win ,however Sean Penn deserved to win, he was very convincing playing a gay man.

I don't watch the oscar's anymore. they are too long. the only best about them was Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie did not win.

This was the BEST Academy Awards show I have seen. Actually, until this one I would flip channels out of boredom, but not this time. Classy show, classy host, great entertainment. Hope they keep the idea of having the awards delivered by past winners..Also great to see the diversity and acceptance that was ever so apparent throughout the WHOLE show...all ages, all races, all as one.
