Twilight Sweeps Teen Choice Awards Nominations
Screaming fans better start warming up their voices! The nominees have just been announced for Fox's 2009 Teen Choice Awards. Everything from movies to video games — and even celebrity babies — are being honored in the awards show that hands out surfboards to its winners.
Twilight dominates the nomination list with 12 nods. Stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are each up for an award, along with supporting cast members Ashley Greene, Cam Gigandet and Nikki Reed. The cast is hoping for a repeat of this year's MTV Movie Awards, as Twilight is also in the running for the best fight and best kiss.
Other frontrunners include Miley Cyrus, High School Musical 3 and The CW's Gossip Girl, each with 10 nominations. American Idol comes in just behind with seven nods.
TV newcomer 90210 is also being shown some love. Besides snagging nominations for best drama and breakout series, stars Dustin Milligan, AnnaLynne McCord and Tristan Wilds each received nods for their individual performances. The show is even up for the best parental unit award thanks to dad Rob Estes and mom Lori Loughlin.
Meanwhile, Lady GaGa, Taylor Swift and Kanye West are nominated in the music categories.
And who better to host a summit of teen fandom than the Jonas Brothers? Kevin, Joe and Nick — who will also be performing live — are nominated in nine categories. Even their little brother Frankie is nominated as male breakout star for JONAS.

The Twilight Books were fantastic but i didnt like the way the movie was made it missed out on a lot of the things that happened in the book. I am still excited for new moon though it looks like it will be better than twilight was.

i love twlight, I love kristen and rob, i just read the article in the new magazine and i would love to see rob and kristen togather, but if they don't i hope that it doesn't mess up the next two movies because of not being able to get along!!

I'm really excited to see the results. Though I don't really think Twilight should win the 'Best Fight' or I guess they call it 'Movie Rumble'. As much as I love Twilight, there ARE other movies out there that deserve awards. =]
