American Music Awards Highlights: J. Lo Falls, Taylor Wins!
In what was probably one of the most painful moments at the American Music Awards, Jennifer Lopez fell flat on her butt during her performance of "Louboutins." J.Lo quickly recovered but the fall was certainly one of highlights — or maybe lowlights — of Sunday's show.
Adam Lambert also took a spill during a racy performance of his new song "For Your Entertainment," but his slip was nothing compared to the sexy song and dance routine the American Idol runner-up put on.
In addition to performances by Eminem, Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood and Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston made a triumphant comeback singing "I Didn't Know My Own Strength." She also took home the award for international artist of the year.
Taylor Swift was a big winner too but the country cutie had to give her acceptance speeches via satellite because she's in London for a concert. Taylor took home five awards, including artist of the year for which she beat out Michael Jackson.
The King of Pop was named favorite male artist in the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories, while his 2003 hits collection "Number Ones" was named favorite album in both those categories. Jackson, who died in June, made history by collecting more AMAs during his career than any other artist and became the show's winningest posthumous artist. His brother Jermaine accepted on Michael's behalf.

I don't care if Taylor Swift won awards because of sympathy votes. Maybe a lesson was learned in all of this. She may not have the best vocals but this girl is young, writes her own songs and plays and instument. She does have talent. Lady Gaga has an amazing voice! J.Lo can't sing, and looked foolish doing her little boxer routine. As for Adam Lambert..he's got alot of charisma, good looks, he can sing when he tries. what he did has been done so many times before. everyone, even Carrie underwook gyrated and acted a little inappropriately..so what!

I am not a fan of J-Lo. I never liked her songs or her acting but I do commend her for her "Selena" performance. I don't mind Taylor swift but I do agree they are sympathy awards but I guess everyone derserves some recognition. Lady Gaga kicks butt and it's only jealous people who diss other people.
