Jolie Gives Photog a Lift!

Angelina Jolie did the unheard of and offered a stranded paparazzi a lift over to her hotel, when the photog's bike got a flat tire on Thursday in NYC.

“I was just riding my bike behind Angelina and she pulled over and asked if I’d like a lift,” 27-year-old Splash News shutterbug James Ambler said of his 30-minute car ride with the actress. “I happily accepted.”

British photographer Ambler had been exclusively tracking Jolie on his bike since she arrived in the Big Apple three days ago for the premiere of her film A Mighty Heart. The American sex-siren told Amber that she and her bode were so impressed that he was able to keep up with them for the past few days that they nick-named him “Lance” after champion cyclist Lance Armstrong.

How did the newly acquainted duo spend their drive to the hotel? They talked! “She was really curious about the other photographers, what we are doing. She talked about her new film she said she is really excited about promoting something she really believes in and really likes,” says the obviously smitten Ambler. “She was really down to earth and lovey.”

Jolie even confided that she and her beau Brad Pitt, 43, didn’t know what all the fuss is about when it comes to them. "She said, 'Brad and I always wonder which one of us is the priority,'" Ambler revealed. "She said, 'We just don't understand why people always want to take our picture. We never go out drinking or anything like that.'”

Ambler, enjoying the surreal experience of having a laugh with Jolie said, "I just laughed and said 'Well, you are quite popular, Angelina. I don't know how you do it, smiling for the cameras all the time.”

So does Brad have some competition? Amber sure thinks so!  “She’s not made of wood. Brad, keep on your toes!” warns Ambler.
