Angelina Jolie Gives Birth to Twins
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt welcomed their long-awaited twins on Saturday night, July 12, at Foundation Lenval Hospital Pour Enfants in the South of France.
A baby boy, named Knox Leon, weighed in at 5.03 pounds. His sister, Vivienne Marcheline, is 5 pounds.
Angelina's obstetrician, Dr. Michel Sussmann, says the babies were born by Cesarian section and "are doing marvelously well."
He said Angie's delivery date was moved up "for medical reasons" so that the babies could be born "in the best conditions." Angelina is expected to stay in the hospital for a few more days, the doctor said.
And Brad was very much by Angelina's side throughout the entire birth. "He was very happy... The emotion was very strong for him," Dr. Sussmann told reporters. "He was my assistant," the doctor joked.
"I felt the emotion of both the mother and the father," Dr. Sussmann added. "Angelina Jolie was speaking, was laughing with her husband. They were happy."
Star told you first — back in January! — that Angelina was expecting twins. The now-mother-of-six confirmed her double dose of baby joy in May while promoting her film, Kung Fu Panda, in Cannes.
Angie was flown by helicopter from her home at Chateau Miraval 100 miles away on June 29. Two days later, a rep for the hospital announced that she had been admitted to the maternity wing. Angelina's doctor said she was doing well and the babies would be born “in the weeks to come.”
Brad and Angelina have four other children together, adopted kids Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, who Angelina gave birth to in Namibia in May 2006.

Congrats to Angelina and Brad! It's wonderful how they adopted children and have children of thier own. Helping out the less fortunate is always the right thing to do. The parents of those kids are so lucky to have Brad and Angelina adopt thier kids. They are attending the best schools, a good life, and so many people around them that love them, they get LOTS of attention. Imagine if they were back in thier country?!! B and A are using thier money for the right cause. To take on what they are doing is unselfsih and I respect them for thier efforts.

I love Angelina and Brad!

I feel bad for the children, because none of them are getting the real attention they would get if it was one on one. There are too many too close in age, and the fact that she wants to have more if selfish!! She should take better care of the ones she's got! Shame on you!!

She's just trying to generate publicity. Stop having tatoos put on your body. If I remember right that tatoo said something about Billy Bob. Your a phony!!!
I feel bad for Brad, he was probably better with Jennifer Aniston. Although they didn''t know it at the time.... -- JAn COUTU
The names for the twins are positively perfect.
