Angelina Jolie's the New Tom Cruise
Step aside, Tom Cruise!
Angelina Jolie is in talks to replace Mr. Katie Holmes in the espionage thriller Edwin A. Salt, reports Variety.
The film that was once expected to star Tom, will be rewritten with Angelina in the starring role, says the story. The mother of six, who just gave birth to twins, is close to a deal to play the lead role, a CIA officer who's accused of being a Russian spy and must prove her innocence.
Angelina certainly enjoys her action films, appearing as a tough gal in both Wanted and Mr. and Mrs. Smith in recent years.
If Angelina does sign on the dotted line for Salt, the film will also be renamed.

Angelina Jolie is an amazing actress and is able to pull off any role with magnificance.
Tom Cruise is a respectable actor, with a silly personal life. They would both do a great job, but Angelina Jolie is the better actor. Tom Cruise...I have never been an Angelina fan and have only liked her in a couple of her movies. I just don't like her on or off the screen.
