Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz Engaged!
It's Newlyweds: Take Two! Ashlee Simpson and her Fall Out Boy, Pete Wentz, are engaged. The musical couple, who have been linked since 2006 but went public in 2007, confirmed their engagement on a post on the Web site friendsorenemies.com, saying: "We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes — it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, but we wanted you to hear it straight from us. — Ashlee and Pete." Engagement rumors started last year when Ashlee was seen wearing a diamond ring on her engagement finger. She later said it was a "promise ring." Then late last year she replaced the diamond with a plain wedding band. Perhaps she was merely practicing? Either way, the duo seem to be two peas in a pod and have been known to share clothes and, presumably, makeup. No word on wedding plans, but we suspect their ceremony will be less traditional and girlie than her big sis Jessica Simpson had when she married Nick Lachey. I think they are a good couple.
They both are like, perfect for each other. But i think Ashlee is still a little too young for Pete. That's just my opinion. -- M.

I think they make a cute pair, but not a couple. They look more like friends than they do engaged. I wouldn't share my clothes with anyone other then my gal pal, or a GBF! I like Pete don't get me wrong. But when he or she becomes more famous they will have probs. And Also, If they can't handle tabloids gossip about pregnancy, they can't handle a marriage.
