Ashlee Simpson Fired from Melrose Place
Ashlee Simpson is going to have to search the help wanted ads — she's been let go from Melrose Place.
Executive Producer Todd Slavkinoth confirmed that both Ashlee and her costar Colin Egglesfield will be leaving the series, claiming the decision was part of "the original plan going into the development of the show."
He added they took the news "like professionals," saying: "When you go into a show you never know what’s going to evolve and what the possibilities are. But because they knew ahead of time [that leaving was a possibility], it wasn’t a complete shock."
Their final appearances will be in January.

Thank god! her acting is much like her singing...really bad. As far as he goes, irrelevant character, bad actor, of all the cast I m very glad to see these two go. Her especially!

that is too bad, i enjoyed both of them on the show. He is delicious to watch and she plays a devilish part. Both made for good tv...

omg no. my friends and I refused to watch the show after the pilot b/c Ashlee was on it. Now were all going to catch up and start! Shes so fake and a horrible actress...

I wont miss ashlee but i would miss colin..ashlee cant act..

I don't dislike Ashlee Simpson, but her acting in this show was almost uncomfortable to watch. It was just bad. Whenever her scenes would come on, waiting for them to end was like waiting for a watched pot of water to boil...it just wouldn't. Maybe this just wasn't right role for her.
