Did Ashton Steal Anna's TV Idea?
Is Ashton Kutcher getting his story ideas from the grave? Anna Nicole Smith's lawyer, Howard K. Stern, is claiming that Kutcher's new show for E!, Pop Fiction, is identical to a show that Smith and Stern pitched in 2004. Stern claims that he and Smith had multiple meetings with Jeff Shore and Jay James, head programmers for E!, and sent Shore a script.
According to Stern, Shore and James were interested in the show as late as two months ago, when Stern proposed that Larry Birkhead (father to Smith's daughter Dannielynn) be the first prankster. However, James said that the show wouldn't work.
Stern is considering legal action against E!
