Baby Boy for Clay Aiken
Clay Aiken is a dad! Jaymes Foster, the 50-year-old record producer pal of the American Idol runner-up, has given birth to a bouncing baby boy.
Clay's son, named Parker Foster Aiken, was born at 8:08 am at an "undisclosed location" in North Carolina. He weighed in at 6 lbs., 2 oz. and was 19 inches long.
Faye Aiken, Clay's mom, told the local radio station WRAL in Raleigh that the baby has dark hair and that her son is smiling from ear-to-ear.
Clay later blogged about his new baby boy, saying, "The little man is happy, healthy, and as loud as his daddy. Mama Jaymes is doing quite well also."
Clay became friends with Jaymes after her brother, musician David Foster, appeared on American Idol. In May, David confirmed rumors that Clay and his sister had conceived the child through artificial insemination.
Do you think Clay will make a good dad? Should he be actively involved in the baby's upbringing?

Clay. Congratulations on your young son. You will the best Daddy in the world, if people will just leave you alone. Give that Baby an extra hug for me.

Every father has a right to be involved with thier childs upbringing, Gay or not.
-- Terri Greetings, I can’t help myself, I feel I must speak out frankly about Clay Aiken and the attitude of people in general on the subject of his and Ms. Foster’s newborn son. Why shouldn’t Clay have the right to seek out whatever will make him happy, in whatever way he is able to accomplish the wonderful task, so long as it isn’t against the law. God allowed the doctors to discover the know-how on how to treat cases such as this and to have an infant be born and raised by two great people who care a great deal about each other, and want the other to be fulfilled as a parent. We all should be so lucky as to have such a relationship. I think I read somewhere that this might not be the only child the couple plan to be giving one another. I say to Clay and Jaymes - go for it. Cast aside all the haters Clay, you are used to being cheated by such selfish people. For me Clay is an original thinker with an extra special personality and voice, who has a bit of mystery surrounding him, which I feel is on purpose and working to Clay’s advantage. I applaud his courage in accomplishing his heart’s desire. I pray this couple will have as many offspring as they wish for. And thank you Ms. Foster for giving Clay the son he always wanted - you are a gem of a very good friend to Clay and an earth angel in his life, and further the envy of many of his female fans (who would have been more than happy to stand in your shoes.) You have been a great assistant in helping Clay produce outstanding CDs and now you have help cause and gift him with a son, for which I am sure he will be eternally grateful to you. You are a brave, kind and sincere woman. I know you will make wonderful parents. May God bless you all, keep you close and give you peace. -- Sharon Shannon
Congrats to you but what concerns after reading this is clay had a child with his sister through artificial insemination. I hope nothing will be wrong later

Hi,
Yes, I think Clay will be a wonderful father and he should absolutely be actively involved in the baby's upbringing. All the other details are superfluous and don't matter. And he looks just fine in my opinion. As for Jaymes, at least she's a classy lady and not a piece of trash! -- Kelly
Come on guys! Ease up! His sexuality is his choice. He wanted to be a dad, but another man obviously can't get pregnant and he had a friend have a baby for him. I think he'll be a good dad- We just have to have faith in him. Good Luck Clay!
