Who's in it: Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo
What's it about: When a sudden epidemic of blindness sweeps the world, the victims are quarantined and forgotten about.
Seeing clearly: The only person in quarantine who can see is the wife (Moore) of an eye doctor (Ruffalo) - and what she can see would scare anyone. Even among the blind, cruelty and force rule, as a rogue group grabs all the food and ransoms it - for money and, later, sex. This rough, frightening film should make you think "Lord of the Flies," as civilization quickly collapses. It's an allegory, so some people may be put off by its brutal images of people turning on each other like hungry dogs. The movie will make you think uncomfortable thoughts.
Long story short: It's easy to see this movie isn't for everyone.
