Angelina's Thanksgiving Showdown! Should Brad Insist On Angie Visiting His Family? Vote!
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's mother are on a holiday collision course! Bad blood between Jolie and Jane Pitt could come to a boil this Thanksgiving at the Pitt family home in Missouri, say sources, after Jane lashed into Angie over a recent interview in which the actress discussed her drug use again!
"I've done just about every drug possible. Coke, heroin, ecstasy, everything," Angelina, 32, admitted in the October issue of Cosmopolitan UK. The mother of four even described a wild trip she took to Disneyland while on LSD! But Jolie's outspokenness landed her in hot water with Brad's mom Jane, 66 — sources say she hit the roof over Jolie's tell-all!
PHONE FIGHT!
"Jane was livid after she saw Angelina's drug quotes — and she really let Angie have it when they were on the phone together shortly after," an insider tells Star. "Jane told Angie there was nothing to gain from rehashing her drug use, and that she has a lot more to think about than herself — she should have considered her children and family first!
"Jane scolded Angie, saying that some things should be kept personal and that her seemingly unending public admissions made it look as if she had no class — and that some people might even consider her 'trailer trash'!"
"Angie told Jane she was sorry, that she never meant for the interview to cause any problems," the insider claims. "Then she handed the phone to Brad. He agreed that Angie's latest admission was uncalled for — but he also told his mom that maybe she was being a little too hard on her. Brad reminded his mother how far Angie has come from her wild days, and that this blowup was only going to set their relationship back again." (A rep for Pitt denies Star's story.)
HOLIDAY HELL?
Jane's criticism of Angelina has also set the stage for what could be a Thanksgiving to remember — for all the wrong reasons — at the Pitt family home in Springfield, Mo. Ironically, a source tells Star, Angelina — currently filming The Changeling in L.A. — had other plans in mind, but Brad talked her out of them. "Angie didn't want to go to Missouri for Thanksgiving," the source reveals. "She wanted to spend the holiday on another humanitarian mission, but Brad insisted that they were going to have a traditional Thanksgiving with his family — and Angie gave in."
Another source adds: "There's always drama when Angie is around the Pitt clan. She doesn't feel obligated to discuss certain subjects, like moving the children from school to school, so there's often little to talk about. She's even complained to Brad that she has nothing in common with the rest of his family."
