Britney's Getting Treatment, Her "Rep" Tells Barbara Walters

Britney Spears' friend/manager/publicist Sam Lufti wants the pop wreck's fans to know she is seeking help so he did the most logical thing he could think of — called Barbara Walters.

On The View Monday, Walters said she received a call from Lufti hoping to set the record straight about Britney. "She has been to a psychiatrist," Walters said Lufti told her. "She, I assume, is starting some kind of treatment."

Walters referred to Britney's recent bizarre behavior as being due to "mental issues which are treatable."

Walters also revealed that Britney has been in touch with her estranged mom, Lynne Spears, who was spotted at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
