Britney Spears to Open the MTV VMAs
Britney Spears finally gets a chance to redeem herself!
After the debacle that was last year's MTV Video Music Awards (think: lip-syncing, belly flab and a deer caught in headlights look), the pop tart has agreed to open the show again this year and, hopefully, do a better job.
"MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs?" Brit said in a statement released to the media. "I'm excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated."
Perhaps she'll have better luck winning an award. She's been nominated 16 times — three this year — and has yet to win a single Moon Man.
Britney returned to Los Angeles yesterday in preparation for Sunday's show. She had been in Las Vegas with... her former paparazzo boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib.
As Star reports in our Sept. 15, which is on sale now, Brit and her ex enjoyed a cozy weekend of room service, lounging by the pool and a shopping spree at Louis Vuitton — all on Britney's dime.
"We're in bed," Britney gushed to a friend who called to see how her weekend was going.

I think Adnan is one of her red flag warning signs. Be careful Brit, it wasn't fun the first time, you dont want to play that game of roulette again, you may not come out alive.
