Britney's Wild Wednesday Night! Plus: 4 Paps Arrested For Chasing Brit

January 17, 2008

Britney Spears' wild nights continued on Wednesday, resulting in four photographers being booked for reckless driving while chasing Spears' car in the San Fernando Valley.

Kevin Federline's ex kicked off her night at L.A.'s Gaucho Grill, where she noshed on two beef empanadas, grilled salmon, spinach and rice and a Coke with paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib. And then they headed to Starbucks, of course!

Britney later met up with her new BFF, Sam Lufti, and they hit a nearby Ralph's supermarket and left with two carts of groceries, catching up with the usual band of shutterbugs waiting to get their money shot of Britney. Chaos ensued as Britney and her friend began driving around L.A. in her white Mercedes-Benz, as photographers swerved in their cars behind her, struggling to keep up.

L.A. police say they stopped the Mercedes, interviewed Spears and released her after verifying her driver's license. But four photographers in the cars chasing her weren't so lucky. They were booked for investigation of reckless driving.

Getting pulled over by police didn't affect 26-year-old pop star's spirits. At 2 a.m., Spears, Lutfi and another pal hit L.A.'s Kitson boutique, where the store was specifically opened just for them. Spears walked out about 20 minutes later with three shopping bags.

The threesome then drove one block to Kitson's Men's store, where Spears came out wearing a men's pin-striped shirt and black skinny tie, her hair in a messy bun, around 2:20 a.m.

Just another weeknight for Britney Spears!
