Michael Phelps' Naughty New Girlfriend
Michael Phelps' mom isn't the only one surprised to see the Olympian squiring around sexy Las Vegas cocktail waitress Carolynn "Caz" Pal. So are Carolynn's hometown pals!
In the Jan. 26 issue of Star — on sale now! — we report they Caz's old friends can't believe her transformation from a dorky bookworm to a busty, heavily tattooed hottie.
"She was a sweet girl, but she was a nerd," says a friend from Caz's days at Victor Valley High School in Victorville, Calif. "She was president of our freshman class and a real go-getter with excellent grades. The last thing I ever imagined her doing was becoming a cocktail waitress in Las Vegas!"
As a matter of fact, Carolynn described herself as "weird and skinny" in her freshman yearbook, and revealed that in her spare time she plays with her dog and volunteers at the Victorville Library. "Carolynn hopes to have a scholarship to get her into a good college. After college, she hopes to get a good job and lead a good life," she wrote.
But only a few years after graduating in 2000, the 26-year-old, who once told a newspaper she likes "a good boy with a bad streak," headed to the bright lights of Sin City, where she posed for some very risqué modeling shots. "Victorville's a really small community, and everyone knows everyone else's business," says the friend, "so I was shocked when I was told she had had a boob job!"
Now she's hooked up with Michael. Since winning an astonishing eight golds in Beijing, the 23-year-old swimmer is worth an estimated $50 million, thanks to deals with companies including Mazda, AT&T Wireless and Speedo. "I guess she has found the good life," says the friend.

Phelps has stated that he doesn't know who this chick is and has never dated her. He said that "Caz" started walking next to him in the airport and then all of a sudden, photos started being taken. This photo here is some pretty good photoshopping. How come the article doesn't mention the name of Carolynn's friend? Star magazine is just full of "quality journalism" haha
