Exclusive Sneak Peek: Idol's Casey James — From Hellraiser To Heartthrob!
It took three trips to the slammer for American Idol finalist Casey James to get scared straight — and become a better man.
In the March 22 issue of Star — on sale now — we report that the country-twanged crooner, who has caught the attention of the show's viewers, as well as lovestruck judge Kara DioGuardi, struggled with inner demons that landed him in jail three times.
The Cool, Texas native — who was raised by his single mom — started getting in trouble with the law at just 17. It started with speeding tickets but took a darker turn when Casey was busted for DWI in 2001, when this mug shot was taken.
Casey was nabbed two more times over the following 21 months — culminating in a one-month jail sentence in 2003.

That is one of the best mug shots i've seen. Even in there you can see a sweet soul. Why cant people print what he has done SINCE that time of being young and dumb? I dont even consider him eye candy, I love his music!

He's cute & all that jazz...but all-n-all he simply sounds JUST like alot of other bands from the 80's. He doesn't have a *style* of his own..nor a sound that he can call his own.

Does anyone know if he ever performed at any Fort Worth bars? I recognized a very Famous Texas Blues musician in the crowd at last night's show-- Rocky Athas! Casey's guitar talent has always reminded me of some of the musicians that used to perform in the bar where I worked in 2001-2005... Just wondering.

He has truly amazed everyone with his talents on the show regardless of what the judges say or do. Many of us have had some skeletons in our closets, I think whoever posted this news was a "Jealous Man". LOL.

Casey is a gentle, kind, sensitive guy. The good looks, and the hair, and of course the voice are all just bonuses!!!!!! He is beautiful inside and out and sings like an angel!!!!!We all do things in life we regret, the key is to grow from it. I think he's proven himself. I think his mother raised him right! He has my #1 vote!
