NEW YEAR'S REPORT: BRITNEY'S ELEGANT NEW YEAR'S EVE...AND JESSE PARTIES WITH GIRLFRIEND!
Britney Spears, decked out in a black sequined Chloe dress, Jimmy Choo shoes and Cartier jewelry rang in the New Year at Pure Nightclub at Caesar Palace, at a party she hosted at the Las Vegas hotspot. Before arriving at Pure, Britney and a group of friends took over the private dining room of Social House restaurant and dined on mini kobe burgers, lobster curry salad and chicken fried rice before). Britney arrived at Pure with -- get this! --27 friends, including all her dancers!
"From the moment Britney stepped foot inside of Pure, people went crazy and flashbulbs were nonstop as everyone tried to get a picture," an eyewitness tells Star. "Britney made her way to the main VIP stage overlooking the dance floor. Britney sang along to all the songs the deejay [DJ Hollywood] spun, and she first started drinking Dom Perignon before switching to Grey Goose vodka and soda." When Britney's hit song "A Slave For You," was blasted over the sound system, she made her way to the railing overlooking the dance floor to dance for the crowd. Minutes later, the eyewitness tells Star, Spears counted down to the New Year for the packed house inside the club and shouted, "What happens in Vegas, always stays in Vegas!"
Immediately afterwards, Britney headed up the elevator inside of Pure to reach the terrace and watch the fireworks being released in the city. As fireworks lit up the sky, Britney was joined by her friends and popped the cork on a massive bottle of Dom Perignon right in front of a gigantic Happy New Year cake, layered in Swarovski crystals. With champagne in hand, Britney led her friends in a toast before heading back downstairs, the eyewitness tells Star.
Seated at the table next to Britney at Pure on New Year's Eve were Shannon Elizabeth and Jesse Metcalfe. The evening before, on Saturday night, Jesse hosted a party at Tangerine Lounge and Nightclub at Treasure Island. At Tangerine, the group hung out both in Tangerine's VIP pod and on the dance floor. "Jesse drank Grey Goose and cranberry and danced for hours," a source tells Star. "Jesse and his entourage also took the party out onto the patio to cool off and take in the club's view of The Strip while drinking cocktails. Before Jesse & Co. were at Pure, they had dinner at Social House restaurant. Jesse, who was with his girlfriend British pop star Nadine Coyle and a group of friends ate Kobe rolls, crispy tuna rolls and shrimp tempura, a source tells Star.
