Rihanna and ASAP Rocky At Odds Over Plans for Baby No. 4: ‘Definitely Stirring Up From Friction’ (Exclusive)

Rihanna and boyfriend ASAP Rocky are on totally different pages when it comes to expanding their family, a source tells Star.

“The original plan was for Rihanna to take a break from having babies so she could focus on herself and her career again,” reveals the source. “If she gets pregnant now, that all gets pushed even further down the line and people around her worry she’s constantly putting herself last.”

The couple, both 37, are already parents to sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 1, and daughter Rocki, whom they welcomed in September.

“From Rocky’s point of view, having the kids close together just makes sense,” the source explains. “He believes it’s better to get the baby-making phase done and then worry about everything else later.”

That’s easy for Rocky to say though, notes the source. “He’s not the one carrying a child and going through the physical changes.”

As Star previously reported, Rihanna hinted in a recent Instagram comment that she’s torn between getting her pre-pregnancy body back and adding another baby to their brood.

“Rihanna loves being a mom and absolutely wants more kids. That part isn’t up for debate,” says the source. “But she’s also craving time to feel like herself again. Being […] confident in her body isn’t just part of her brand, it’s part of who she is.”

The mother of three just “wants space to reconnect with that before jumping back into pregnancy,” the source continues, noting that that’s where “the strain” is coming from. “They love each other, but this is definitely stirring up some friction.”
