Chyler Leigh Welcomes Baby Anniston
Chyler Leigh's new addition seems destined for stardom.
The Grey's Anatomy star and her actor husband, Nathan West, welcomed a new daughter named Anniston Kae on Thursday.
"Both mother and child are healthy," her rep said.
During a recent appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Chyler was asked if Jennifer Aniston was the inspiration behind the baby's name.
"She is like my best friend," Chyler joked before clarifying, "I've never met her actually, no... My husband and I were trying to look for different names and both of our kids have a traditional and a unique name, so we were kind of just looking for something not as common."
Ellen joked, "If you have another one, call it 'DeGeneres.'"
Chyler and Nathan became engaged while costarring in Not Another Teen Movie. They were married in 2002 and have two children — Noah, 5, and Taelyn, 2.
