Dakota Fanning on Kristen Stewart: It's Like I'd Known Her My Whole Life

Everyone is buzzing about Twilight's Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, Kristen and Rob, Kristen and Rob. But it seems like there's also major chemistry between Kristen and Dakota Fanning.

"We became really close — like we'd known each other for our whole lives," Dakota tells Teen Vogue of her newfound friendship with her Twilight costar. "We talk all the time.”

Their real-life friendship made for an interesting dynamic for their reel-life New Moon characters. "I’ve never been such an evil character, and because I do know Kristen so well, being mean to her was really weird," the homecoming princess tells the mag. "It’s like, Sorry, dude!”

They also teamed up to play punk rockers Cherie Currie and Joan Jett in The Runaways. “The relationship that Joan and Cherie have in the script is kind of the one that Kristen and I have in real life — minus the destructive part,” the 15-year-old says.

Kristen returns all the compliments, telling the mag — via email — “Dakota is one of the most consistently moving actors I have ever worked with. I’m always better with her.”

Ah, BFF love.
