Jewel & Nancy O'Dell Out on DWTS


It's over before it even began for Nancy O'Dell and Jewel on Dancing with the Stars.

ABC announced that both women dropped out of the competition as a result of knee injuries during rehearsals. Jewel was diagnosed with a fractured tibia in both legs; Nancy has a torn meniscus that will require surgery.

"Though we share in their disappointment that they can no longer continue, their physical well-being takes precedent above all else. We thank them both for giving it their all and wish them a quick and full recovery," the show's executive producer said in a statement.

Replacements for both ladies will be announced on Monday night during the premiere of season eight of the show. Holly Madison of Girls Next Door fame, has already been tipped to take over from Jewel.

It's quite a disappointment to some, but Holly Madison is young and hot and I think more people would watch it if she was on.

Sorry to see them go before the start of the show, but am excited it the rumors are true that Holly Madison and Melissa from Bachelor are the replacements. That will be an awesome competition.
