Frasier Star's Secret Wedding

David Hyde Pierce can keep a secret, but now he's spilling it following the ruling to uphold California's Prop 8.

The Frasier star appeared on The View Thursday and revealed that he and his longtime partner, TV producer Brian Hargrove, tied the knot "very quietly" on October 24.

They had been together for 25 years.

The ceremony took place in California, where they live, just weeks before the state's voters passed Proposition 8 on Nov. 4, which banned gay marriages. On Tuesday, the California Supreme Court announced that they were upholding the decision, but David's marriage — which took place when it was legal — will still be recognized.

Similarly, Ellen DeGeneres' Aug. 16 marriage to Portia de Rossi is deemed legal by the court.

David told the ladies of The View that it made him angry waiting to see what the court would rule about his marriage because he felt "it's none of your business."

best of wishes to them both, marriage is between 2 loving couples not just a man and woman. who are you people to sit there and say a couple shouldn't be able to get married simply because they're the same sex. everyone has the right to love who they want
