Is Demi Cutting Again?
Disney darling Demi Lovato is showing disturbing new signs of cutting — a secretive self-mutilation ritual girls sometimes use to deal with traumatic emotional issues.
A little more than eight months after shocking pictures first revealed Demi's scarred wrists, new photos of the 16-year-old leaving MTV's NYC studios are even more alarming.
There now appear to be at least five nasty-looking slashes, where previously there were only a few.
"Demi has been really stressed out about her new show, Sonny with a Chance," a source tells Star. "She's not getting enough downtime because there is so much work involved, and she's always being pulled in different directions."
Unfortunately, that constant pressure may lead to destructive behavior. "Cutting is how she can let go of the stress that has built up inside — when she cuts herself, it's a way to cope," explains Dr. Jennifer Austin Leigh, a San Francisco–based psychologist who specializes in treating teenagers.
But there is hope, adds Dr. Leigh, who has not treated the actress. Besides counseling, Demi "needs to surround herself with family and friends who will have a positive impact on her."

I self mutilated myself for four years, so I really know the hurt of cutting. I honestly can't say if those are cuts or not. I used to cut with a razor blade, and my cuts looked way different. To be honest, that looks a lot like bracelet lines. Demi doesn't strike me as the type to cut, but hey, I didn't strike anyone as the type to cut, either. She has only had a few of these so it doesn't seem like a repeating problem for her.

Ok the first picture IS a little mysterious, but the second one- there is NO WAY those are cut marks! I mean, that's EXACTLY what my wrists look like when I wear certain bracelets.

I'm a big fan of Demi and i hope she dosen't cut herself. I don't care if she does i will always love her nomatter what. But i'm still worried because my step brother had a cousin that cut his wrist and he accidently killed his self. I think Demi is very pretty and she has a beutiful voice ! If something happened to her i don't know what i would do. Maybe shes sad i feel bad for her because shes not as famous as all the other movie stars. But i like her alot better than the others. shes my fav movie star and singer. I love Demi lovato!

so, no one knows what's it like to feel pain? stress? or anything at all? seriously. and the fact you can't even spell... this depresses me. "she's a pop star, why would she cut?" maybe because no one believes in her? and believe it or not, she may have a need for control. i cut myself, and unlike demi, i placed them on my legs. she was dumb and placed them on her wrists, where anyone can see it. and there's nothing wrong with it.
