New Details Released About Jett Travolta's Death

January 5, 2009

John Travolta held his beloved son Jett's hand as the 16-year-old was transported to a Bahamian hospital on Friday. "Come on Jett," both John and his wife Kelly Preston begged of their son who apparently suffered a seizure and died while on a family vacation.

Marcus Garvey, an EMT who was on the scene tells Radar the boy had a bump on his head, believed to be from hitting it on the bathtub, and was unconscious.

Jett, who the Travoltas say suffered from Kawasaki Disease as a child, reportedly had grand mal seizures regularly and was treated with anti-seizure medication Depakote in the past. "It extended the seizures out to over 21 days. But ultimately the attacks got closer and closer, they had to give more and more medication, and it started to cause organ damage so they stopped," Travolta family friend and lawyer Michael McDermott told Radar.

"As far as I know Jett was no longer on medication. But his parents and two nannies supervised him night and day... Short of holding his hand 24/7 they had everything in place. They loved that child with all their hearts. All this set-up was because he was prone to seizures which could occur at any time."

Update:
The autopsy on Jett Travolta has been completed and his death certificate says he was killed by a "seizure," according to Glen Campbell, the assistant director of the funeral home handling his remains.

No further results have been released, but Campbell said the body was in "great condition" and shows no sign of head trauma.

Jett's body will now be flown to Ocala, Florida for burial.

I also do not believe in taking medicine, and am not affiliated with any relegious sect, if you ever read the ads for these drugs you will see a quarter page for what it will do to help you, and a full page of what it could do to you if you take it. That is why I cure everything naturally, if you have a headache rub lemon on your forehead and lie down, cost less than $1.00 does not hurt you or affect any other organs. That is what great great Grandma did.....

The hoopla dies down and people go home and you can't understand how life just continues on when such a huge part of your own life has changed so drastically. When no one else is around know that God has his arms wrapped tightly around you holding you up when you are in too much pain to hold yourself up. Have faith. I know this b/c I lost my own daughter. I am so incredibly sorry for your family.
