Ellen Gates Her Love Nest
Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi aren't just preparing for their wedding — they're also building a real estate empire!
Ellen, who is marrying her girlfriend of almost four years later this summer, has gone on a buying spree along Beverly Hills' Cabrillo Drive, spending about $40 million on three adjacent mansions.
And now that the ink is dry on the sale of the third property, Ellen can apply for permission from the city of Beverly Hills to gate the street!
And word in the tony city is that the talk show queen will do just that. Ellen "loves a compound," the real estate blog The Real Estalker claims, adding that her latest purchase was a 2,785-square-foot manse.
Ellen snapped up a 6,000-square-foot home in November and bought the 4,580-square-foot house across the street a couple of months later.
"Ellen is obsessed with security," a source says. "She wants to gate the street so that she and Portia can live in total privacy."

Scotfrmdet, it's not Ellen's fault that you have to explain that to your kids. Sounds like you're a good dad though. Whatever happened to live and let live? What other people do should not have a direct impact on our lives unless it's something harmful or something that is done directly to us. I'm sure Ellen would wish us all happiness and not judge us.
