Heidi Montag to Guest Host The View

However will she handle it?

Heidi Montag will have to tear herself away from her constant sidekick, hubby Spencer Pratt, at least for one hour, because she's been tapped as a solo guest host on The View.

The Hills star will appear on the ABC talk show on Oct. 1, filling the seat of Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who gave birth to her third child, a son named Isaiah, in August.

"I am so excited and honored to be the guest host on The View," she tweeted. "I cant wait to be in the council of such amazing iconic women!"

Guests on the show that day will be Private Practice's Amy Brenneman and actress/novelist Carrie Fisher.

A series of celebrities have been stepping in for Elisabeth, including Meghan McCain and Kate Gosselin. Still to come are The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco (Oct. 13) and American Idol's Kara DioGuardi (Oct. 15).

Heidi and Spencer appeared as guests on the show in June and talked about how they were as popular as President Barack Obama and Heidi compared herself to Mother Teresa... despite gearing up to pose in Playboy.

LOL i cant help but to laugh at both of them... they think everyone loves them but, but the only reason so many people watch them is because we cant wait to see what comes out of their mouth next... so we can make fun of it

what a joke..... like what views Heidi will bring to the show??? "How to be a Bimbo and look a fool"?? The view was a good show, but now it's bringing people like Heidi and Kate Gosselin that doesn't have a clue about their own lives and they want to tell the world their views on life issues... please.... what is??? The View is desperate for guests to appear on thier show... Is the show finally coming to a close???? What a shame.... I really Love Whoppie on the show......

This woman is an idiot, a tramp, an insult to women everywhere and I for one will NEVER WATCH the View again, if you have her as a guest host. To do so gives her the publicity that she craves and you become just another enabler.
