Humpday
Rating:
Who's in it: Mark Duplass, Joshua Leonard
What's it about: In this Sundance hit, two male college friends - one married, one single - reunite 10 years after school and decide to make a gay porn for a contest.
Do what?: Lynn Shelton's easy-going comedy is about the urge to be daring, as well as the boundaries of friendship. The married guy (Duplass) keeps promising his pal to do wild things - without discussing them with his disapproving wife. And the single guy (Leonard) keeps egging him on - not exactly calling him a coward or henpecked, but that's the implication. But who the married guy is now isn't who he was in college - and are these two hard-core heteros really man enough to get it on with each other? Duplass and Leonard may be newcomers but both have comic energy to spare.
