Janet Jackson Gets Real
It seems like everyone and their mother (Dina Lohan, anyone?) has a reality show. Well, Janet Jackson is no exception.
Michael's little sister is developing a reality series for MTV. The show will be a search for the next hot singer/dancer a la Ms. Jackson herself. Unlike existing shows with the same concept, Janet's program will take her search to the streets — going to YMCAs, churches and community centers to find potential contestants. The show won't be taped on a soundstage — it will be shot on the go as well. No word on what the winner walks away with, but there's speculation that the prize may involve Janet's upcoming tour.
Janet will appear in the series and serve as a mentor to the contestants.
The yet-to-be-titled project will debut Sept. 10.
