Jay Leno to Continue Jaywalking on New Show

Funnyman Jay Leno's leap from late night to primetime has been a source of constant buzz ever since it was announced back in Dec. 2008 — and now fans know exactly how long they'll have to wait to see it!

The Jay Leno Show will premiere on NBC at 10 p.m. on Sept. 14, the comedian announced today. Though the name of the show may be different, it will bear a striking resemblance to Jay's former hosting gig, complete with monologues, classic bits like Jaywalking and, of course, Kevin Eubanks as bandleader.

Conan O'Brien officially assumed his role as host of The Tonight Show last night — to mixed reviews. The inaugural episode featured comedian Will Ferrell — who referred to fellow Tony nominee Liza Minnelli as "a Communist" — and musical guest Pearl Jam.

Do you plan to watch Jay's new show? How do you think Conan is doing as his replacement? Weigh in below.

Leno rocks. I can't wait for the new show. As for Conan, he's okay but no Jay Leno. I do like how the Conan version of The Tonight Show has retained the basic format of monologue, guests, music though.

Can't wait for Leno at 10!
Conan is a plastic-y freak!

It is like going from a Ferrari(Leno) to a motor scooter (Conan). Conan is a total bore. Will only succeed if enough weirdos can be rounded up to watch it, witch is doudtful.

I watched the first Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien and was not impressed at all. I already miss Jay. I am glad to know that Jay will be back and having it at an earlier time is great! I can't wait for the big day!

Yes I plan to watch Jay Leno's new show and can't wait for it to start in September. I do not think that Jay Leno should have been replaced since in my humble opinion he was great! I have watched Conan and have not been impressed.

Will we watch Jay's new show? YES!!! We can't wait! And, so glad Kevin will be back, too - great dynamic between the two of them. Conan is still grape juice - he might mature into a fine wine one day, but we're not sticking around to find out.

No comparing them, Jeno is way better.

I love Jay Leno and I love Conan! I don't know why people are so offensive against Conan, it's not like he took Leno's spot...he decided to leave. Both of these guys are hilarious and I am going to enjoy watching them!!
