John "Very, Very Nervous" to Attend Oscars with Jen

Oscar night was Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer's official coming out party — and the singer says he had the jitters.

During an interview on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show on Wednesday, the singer talked about Oscar night and revealed that he was "very, very nervous" to attend with his famous gal pal.

"It's not my world, the Oscar thing," he said. "You can go from a Grammy winner to a waterboy when you walk into Kodak Theatre on Oscar night. That's a whole different level."

John said he was there as "moral support" for Jen, who presented, and added: "You have to really be with someone that you know who has your back in that situation, and she did and it was really great."

Asked why they made the Academy Awards their first major public event together, he said, "At some point, you feel comfortable enough and say this is the choice I want to make... I think a year is a pretty good period of time with which to say: Yea, let's go have a really good time at the Oscars."

Oscar lowered it's standard for having this ugly face and monster personalily ego maniac Jennifer Aniston in their program. I about barfed when I heard her talk. Ruined the show for me. Oscar must not have anyone else to present than have this big looser. No more watching of this such tv trash program. I'll stay with nature show and others.

she only did it because brad and angelina were going to attend. really she needs to get over it wearing a dress similar to one she wore with brad and doing her hair the way she knew he liked her to wear. come on its so obvious get on with your life jen its healthier for everyone. its time to say good bye to all that was brad and her. over....she is beautiful funny and sweet. you deserve better than john that is for sure
