Jon & Kate Plus 8: Emotional Goodbye & Divorce Update
The final episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 aired Monday night much to the dismay of Kate Gosselin. The reality mom said teared up as she lamented that the show had been "cut short."
In her "bittersweet" goodbye interview, Kate said she was "very grateful for the opportunity, for the memories, for the memories on tape." She also thanked fans for their support.
Meanwhile, her soon-to-be ex-husband Jon, didn't show emotion. Jon, who pulled the plug on TLC's filming of the family, vowed, "I will always be there for my kids, no matter what."
As for Jon and Kate's future, the couple spent all day Saturday in mediation and their divorce could be finalized by the close of 2009, Jon's lawyer said.
Even with his divorce woes behind him, Jon still has legal issues to work out. TLC is suing Jon for breach of contract and he is countersuing the network for $5 million.
A new audio tape obtained by RadarOnline.com could put a damper on Jon's defense strategy though. The tape features Jon explaining that he began speaking freely in public because he thought TLC was afraid of him.

OH WELL!, Kate brought it on herself,the kids will have her to blame for their downfall!! I don't blame Jon at all, he finally snapped after being treated like a stray dog for so long by his own wife!! Some day the kids will see it on tape and will see how their father was treated by their own mother!!

I hate that the show ended. I loved watching the kids, they were so adorable. I feel bad for Kate, she has to do all of this alone. Im behind her 100% percent. Hopefully we get to see more of the kids. :)

i love Kate she is a hands on mom,what a shame Jon let fame change his mind about his marriage and turn him into a side show freak with no talent and now no family.Hes getting what he deserves

Not a fan of Kate. Boy, what a nag. She is never satisfied and she really doesn't know how to discipline her kids. She is selfish and good for Jon to go find a new piece of a** for himself. So glad the plug was pulled on the show.

Someone needs to teach Jon to keep his foot out of his mouth, it really is a disgusting habit, and combined with the verbal diarrhea that he seems to have contracted make for a bad combination. Say what you want about Kate, but she shows a lot of dignity, in her silence. Sit back and watch, actions often provide the truth to any situation, just need some patience. So far 1 point for Kate, -100000……. For Jon…..
