Joe Jonas Blasts Taylor Swift in New Song

Former sweethearts Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift are having a war of words — or, more specifically, lyrics.

After Taylor sang about their breakup in the song "Forever and Always" on her hit album Fearless, Joe is getting in a dig of his own in the new Jonas Bros track "Much Better" from their forthcoming album Lines, Vines and Trying Times.

Joe and his brothers denied that the first single "Paranoid" from their album — about a crazy ex-girlfriend — was a shot at Joe's rocky relationship with the country superstar, but the Disney darlings can't claim the same about "Much Better." The song clearly recounts how middle bro Joe dumped the country singer to take up with 10,000 BC actress Camilla Belle. It even specifically calls out Taylor's 2007 hit song, "Teardrops on My Guitar!"

In "Much Better," which the band describes as influenced musically by the Bee Gees and Neil Diamond, Joe sings:

I get a rep for breakin' hearts
Now I'm done with superstars
And all the tears on her guitar
I'm not bitter

But now I see
Everything I'd ever need
Is the girl in front of me
She's much better

Youngest Jonas bandmate Nick confirmed to Rolling Stone that the songs on their fourth studio album — which will be released June 16 — all come from a personal place. He called them "our journal in songs" and said they're all about "things we've gone through, personal experiences."

Talk back: Do you think Joe's dig at Taylor is below the belt? Or do you think both artists should be able to express themselves however they want to? Tell us what you think.

I love the song. I think it was a bit rude but Taylor shouldn't be writing songs about peolpe. As much as I like Swift they're both wrong.

i think this song is attacking her more. Forever and Always was her version of the breakup and it honestly wasn't that bad. it talked about how sad she was, but i think he's is just revenge.
advice to joe: dude never break up with a girl on the phone. it's rude and it makes you look real bad. every girl deserves a break up face to face. and write better songs. if you want to get back at someone write lyrics that mean something. this is kind of crap

much better is an amazing song whether its about taylor or not, which it clearly is. But when taylor wrot forever and always about joe no one said it wasnt nice or stuff so why say joe is out of order ? . they're artists, and most artists get their lyrics from the way they are feeling or personal experiences, its a natural thing. all you people are probs just saying it 'cause you either dont like JB or love taylor so are being biased !! . it's pathetic, they're both amazing, so how about we keep out of it ?!
-- JB & Taylor fan :)
