Katherine Heigl Adopting
Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley have a baby on the way -- from Korea!
The Grey's Anatomy star announced that she and her hubby -- who married in Dec. 2007 -- are adopting a special-needs girl from the same country from which Katherine's sister was adopted.
The adoption is expected to be finalized this week, reports Radar Online.
"It is a little girl and she'll be 10 months at the end this month," Katherine said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in an episode airing Friday. "Her name is Naleigh. Well, I am naming her after my mother and sister -- Nancy, Leigh. So we call her Naleigh."
Adding with a laugh: " I wanted to tell everybody so you don't think I stole a Korean baby."
Last October Star told you about Katherine and Josh's plans to adopt a Korean baby. At that point they had already selected an agency and filled out the necessary paperwork.
Katherine was recently granted a leave of absence from Grey's to film the movie Life As We Know It.
Hope her trailer is big enough for her new addition!

while we are on the topic of overseas adoption, why do so many american couples adopt from china? why not american kids?

I hope she knows what she's getting into. Special needs children require alot of love and care, more so than (normal)kids. I hope she puts in the time and patience it takes, and doesn't leave the job to nannies.

i like this story and do not care who doesn't! she is adopting from Korea where her sister came from and giving her a special name and a loving home to go to! i hate it when people judge others because theyre not adopting from "america" way to be judgemental and not so subtly discriminatory!!!!
