Exclusive: Kendra's Grandma "Upset" Over Baby Announcement
With a wedding and a baby on the way with her NFL star fiancé Hank Baskett, Kendra Wilkinson has a pretty long to-do list. But there’s one major thing she forgot to check off — telling her family about her pregnancy!
"I almost fainted when she announced she was pregnant," Kendra's 85-year-old grandmother Mary Stotz tells Star in an exclusive interview. "Her mother Patti and I were completely shocked. We had no idea."
Mary and Patti learned about the bun in the oven at Kendra's bridal shower, along with the other guests — and the entire film crew of her new reality show! When someone made a toast to the bride-to-be, Kendra said she wasn't allowed to have any champagne.
“Both her mother and I were so upset that we took our mics off and left the bridal party,” Mary recalls.
Kendra followed them out and apologized. She told them she was nervous about making the announcement because she didn’t know how they would take the news. No one expected her to get pregnant before the wedding.
“Since then we have had a nice reunion and Kendra knows that no matter what she will always have our love and support,” Mary says.
The New Jersey native, who now resides in San Diego, also tells Star that the wedding is scheduled for June 27 at the Playboy Mansion.
As far as her first stint on reality TV is concerned, Mary says the whole thing is a little scary.
"I am afraid to open my mouth!"
