Kiefer Sutherland Charged With Assault
Kiefer Sutherland surrendered to NYC police on Thursday and was charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly head-butting a fashion designer on Monday night.
The 24 star was interviewed by cops, given a ticket and ordered to appear in court June 22. He was then released on his own recognizance.
If convicted of the misdemeanor, Kiefer could be fined as much as $1,000 and serve up to a year in jail.
Kiefer is accused of assaulting Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough at a Met Costume Gala after party earlier this week when Jack reportedly bumped into actress Brooke Shields.
Kiefer is currently on probation in California for a 2007 drunk driving conviction for which he served 48 days in prison.

Jack McCollough BUMPED INTO Brooke Shields.
Kiefer did what he did because he was defending the actress. So, McCollough deserved a beadbutt for that. Kiefer doesn't deserve to come back to prison -- Marta - Rio de Janeiro/Brasil
