Left for Dead: Miracle on Everest

When Australian climber Lincoln Hall started for the top of Mount Everest, he knew the risks. But he didn't know he would pay for it with his life - and then live to tell about it. This chilling reenactment blends actual footage with dramatized scenes of an Everest ascent gone fatally wrong. Hall himself narrates parts of the story (so do his climbing partners, his wife and kids), which features gorgeous views of the world's most challenging mountain, as well as a strong sense of the physical demands of a setting where you always feel like you're suffocating because there's not enough oxygen. The question that may occur to viewers: Why put yourself through it? Hall answers the question, but the price is obviously high in this fascinating docudrama.
