Leighton Meester Inks Record Deal
When samples of Gossip Girl Leighton Meester's songs leaked onto Internet, no one knew if she was a serious songstress — but now her record deal proves it!
"I'm thrilled to be welcomed into the Universal Republic fold," Leighton said of her new gig. Even though the small screen starlet first rose to fame for her acting chops, she claims she's had a "passion for music for as long as I can remember."
Leighton, who has been recording with some of the industry's hottest producers, says her musical influences range from Gwen Stefani to M.I.A..

Susan Boyle is prettier than Leighton and she is a better singer! Leighton looks like one of those chicks in highschool who was really mean to those with braces, acne, bad hair etc.

Heck no! I heard her Birthday song she leaked on the net and hate to say but it totally sucks! you can barely hear her!i love that she's influenced by gwen stefani but M.I.A. sucks ass and so does MIA's music!! so no i won't be buying her record!not worth the money! rather buy an actual singers CD than hers!!
