Report: Madonna Hires Paul McCartney's Divorce Attorney

Since Madonna became Mrs. Guy Ritchie back in 2000, she's been plagued by rumors that her second marriage is in trouble. Now it looks like she is going to do something about it!

Madonna has retained Paul McCartney's divorce lawyer Fiona Shackleton, reports The Times of London.

According to the story, Madonna "is understood to be seeking legal advice on a possible divorce" from her director husband.

Fiona is apparently the lawyer of choice for celebs after what was thought to be a well-handled split of Sir Paul from Heather Mills, who was rumored to be pushing for four times the settlement she received. Heather despised Fiona so much she poured a pitcher of water on her head during court proceedings. The lawyer also acted for Prince Charles in his divorce from Princess Diana.

Madonna's spokesman refused comment to the paper.

Earlier this week Madonna — who has already sold over 1 million tickets for her upcoming Sticky & Sweet tour — looked very much a single mom when she took her three kids to a Yankee game in New York City. The iconic singer is rarely seen with her filmmaker hubby, who even skipped the ceremony in which she was inducted into the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame, a top honor and true milestone for any entertainer.

In our June 30 issue, we reported that Guy — who rarely cracks a smile when he's seen with his wife — was laughing and having a blast while out with friends recently in London. "The missus is away at the moment," he beamed, "so I'm enjoying a lad's night out. Everything's fine, but when the cat's away..."

Do you think this is the final chapter for Madonna and Guy? If so, who could you see her taking up with? If not, are you tired of the speculation about her marriage? Talk back.

nothing is important to people anymore. I want a divorce because I am not happy. Marriage is not about you. selfish people. i do not think you really listened to what your marriage vows were because you would not be going down this road. you are both stupid. is your religion ok with this? what happened to that!!! you are both a bunch of phonies and your kids are going to suffer later.

Well I personally think that yes, all good things must come to an end...especially with people and the stress life contains now adays as opposed to say 20 years ago, not many relationships actually last 'forever' anymore.
However, on the brighter side of things, maybe things are just getting stale...they need to heat it up or something before things freeze over completely!!
