Mariah Carey Talks Babies!
Newlywed Mariah Carey says she's ready to be a mom now that she's hitched to Nick Cannon. "I always said... if I found the right person who I felt would be on the same page as me in term of raising kids and having the same belief system, [we'd have kids]," Mariah told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres during an interview airing May 13.
Mariah, 38, explained, "I've always had a weird thing about it because my parents divorced when I was three and I didn't have many examples of what was the 'norm.'"
Mimi, who wed hubby Nick on April 30 after dating for only 5 weeks, joked they would do a repeat performance of the nuptials. "Instead of trying to be like, 'You're invited, but shhh, don't tell anybody,' we're just going to have another one [wedding] next year," she teased.
The small ceremony in the Bahamas, for which Mariah and Nick designed each other's rings, was kept low key with only three of her friends, three of his and some people to help dress and do her makeup. "It wasn't a lot of people taking pictures."
Wedding talk aside, Mariah also celebrated the Ellen's 50th birthday with some sexy lingerie gifts.

lets clear this whole issue up .. she is considered half black and half white by race only.she was raised by her mother,who is white ,so she is culturally white but with mixed racial ancestry .she posesses both beautiful talent and looks.

Mariah is more black than venezuelan. Her grandfather was half black and half latino, and her grandmother was a black woman from the states. That makes her father 3/4 black and 1/4 venezuelan, but who cares. We are all human. Nick and Mariah 4 ever. God Bless!!!

To respond to Alis M: You do realize Mariah's late Father was African American & Venezuelan? Last time I checked that makes her a woman of color get a clue & a life. Besides this is nearing 2009 we have a Black ( or is he White to you too?) president coming into office in January. As a Bi Racial person myself I find your comment insulting.
