Matthew McConaughey & Camila's Nanny War

August 15, 2008

Matthew McConaughey is so head over heels for his new son, Levi, that he wants to do everything.

"If he could breast-feed the baby himself, he would," says an insider.

But he clearly doesn't do enough to satisfy Levi's mom, Camila Alves. She would like to have a nanny.

"The house is getting messier, and neither of them is getting much sleep," adds the insider. "Camila wants to hire someone, but Matthew really objects. At least for the first few months, Matthew wants the two of them and their families to be the only ones caring for Levi."

O.k., I understand that stars are very busy people, but children should always come first. I don't think that someone else should have to step in to care for thier child. It's just not right!!!

It depends on the person. I didn't want others with my kids ever besides family and very close friends. However if the mother is overwhelmed it is very important to get the help she needs as sleep depervation and post pardum depression can overwhelm you and possibly cause harm to the child not in your right frame of mind. For instance a person could lose there temper and shake the baby. This happens and so Matt either needs to give her the break she needs or get her some help until she gets in the swing of things.

I think the first couple of months is a very important bonding time.. I do know how tiring it can be though.. maybe get a maid not a nanny would be a good solution to the problem.
