Melrose Place Pilot Gets Green Light
A new crop of tenants will be moving into Melrose Place.
The CW has given the go-ahead to film a pilot for an updated version of the '90s prime-time soap opera about a group of twentysomethings living in the trendy Melrose section of Los Angeles.
Oscar winner Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth) will direct; writers are Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin, both of Smallville fame.
The original Melrose Place became an instant hit and launched the careers of several celebs including Marcia Cross, Kelly Rutherford and Kristin Davis. It also starred Heather Locklear.

the new melrose place wont never be the same like the first melrose place. the new 90210 aint as good either but I will try to watch them and see if a mircle will happen and I end up liking them ? Why aint there any gay male characters in this New Melrose place?

I will only watch it if the old cast comes back. The new cast is ugly, lame, & boring. Seriously, that chick that plays Riley looks like a man in drag. And the acting is horrible! Until they get rid of all the new characters, I will not waste my time with this garbage.

Its about time we get back to the way TV was, these reality tv shows suck, we need to bback back into the 90's, 80's and 70's so we can have our tv shows back like Laverne and shirley, happy days, we need the old cartoons back too like woody wood pecker, road runner, and kroft super stars

I loved melrose place, And I will watch the new melrose, but what makes the revised shows better is there oringinal cast members in the show

I really liked the drama of Melrose Place, some of the old actors should come into play as the parents of the new actors. That would really spice things up.

I loved Melrose and 90210 but the new 90210 stinks so i probably won't be watching.They should really do another "My So Called Life" Clare Danes was awesome in that.
