Miley Cyrus' parents know what they're talking about when they lecture their star daughter about avoiding the pitfalls of the party life. They've been there and done that! Following in the footsteps of Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears as a teen star in Hollywood, it's no stretch to wonder whether Miley will avoid the temptations of those who have gone before her. At 15, Miley has already been the subject of gossip over her diva behavior and suggestive photos of her that have turned up on the Internet. While her parents — Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Tish — have vowed to keep her on the right track, Star investigates whether or not they are the right role model for the teen sensation. In the late 1980s through the 1990s, Billy Ray and Tish's personal lives were steamier than an episode of The Young and the Restless. Here are some highlights: 1986: Billy marries a sales rep with tobacco company Philip Morris named Cindy. While they were together, Cindy threw Billy Ray's possessions on the front lawn of their home, inspiring his hit song "Where'm I Gonna Live?"
1987: 19-year-old Tish, who was called a "rock 'n' roll groupie" by a former friend, got pregnant by a local drummer in Ashland, Ky. and had daughter Brandi.
1988: Billy Ray is interviewed by Kari Reeves and they started an affair, which included sex in the Cyrus marital bed.
1989: Tish gives birth to a son named Neal. She was briefly engaged to his father, Baxter Helson, but they call it off.
1991: The same month that Billy Ray files for divorce from Cindy, a 22-year-old waitress he was seeing becomes pregnant.
His son Christopher was born the next year and a DNA test proved he was Billy Ray's son.
1992: After meeting Billy Ray in fall 1991, Tish becomes pregnant with Destiny Hope Cyrus (a.k.a. Miley).
1993: The same year they have son Braison, Billy Ray and Tish get hitched in a quickie ceremony in Tennessee.

miley cyrus and her family are CLEARLY disfunctional, they applaud for her pole dancing, &we all know she does stupid things like that for attention. its her own fault for giving her own self that image, she always says how tired she is of hearing ppl, well i have one question for u stupid squashy face little girl, then why do u do such stupid things if ur tired of hearing ppl? all the girls from disney, as we have seen, become so provocative, selena gomez is so much better than u, not only is she prettier, she doesnt give herself such a stupid image, just like u give urself. ur fake, ur hair is fake, u wanting to be a rolemodel is fake as well, &ur smile blinds everyone, u have them chomper teeth.lol. so stop thinking everyones jealous of u. cuz u have nothing I envy,thats for damn sure :)
