Miley Cyrus Is No Longer a Twit

Miley Cyrus has broken up with Twitter.

Last night, the 16-year-old — who's been a regular user of the microblogging site — responded to a fan's inquiry as to whether her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, has a Twitter account. In her reply post, Miley wrote, "FYI Liam doesn't have a twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason."

Soon after, @MileyCyrus was deleted as an account.

Miley has been a frequent user of Twitter, sharing random thoughts ("McDonald's burgers are glorious!"), love notes about Liam ("Against all odds I fell in love"), as well as exchanging messages with many Hollywooders, including Lindsay Lohan, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato. In fact, one of those back-and-forths with Demi may also have influenced Miley to pull the plug. On Tuesday when she was talking with Detroit's Mojo In The Morning radio show, Miley complained that a tweet written by her good friend Demi Lovato was misconstrued and people speculated that the girls were fighting.

"I'm like what the heck are people talking about?" Miley told the radio show.

Now Miley's fans will only be able to keep up with her on her official Web site, MySpace, Facebook and those annoying video blogs she creates with her friend Mandy (aka The Miley and Mandy Show), which -- in my opinion -- is more than enough.
