Plus-sized powerhouse Mo'Nique says that when she wed her third husband, Sidney Hicks, three years ago, she "married my best friend." For the star of the hit sitcom The Parkers and the concert film The Queens of Comedy, it put an end to a string of abusive love affairs and broken marriages — dark chapters in her life that she's now using to fuel her dramatic, Oscar-buzz portrayal of a monster mom in the new film Precious.
"I never thought I couldn't find love again," says Mo'Nique, 41. That was an incredibly positive outlook, given her past troubled relationships: a first husband who was jailed for beating her, a second husband to whom she paid over $500,000 during their divorce, and a hulking ex-con fiancé against whom Mo'Nique was forced to get multiple orders of protection after their breakup.

Don't care for her as an performer. Her skinny girls stick is old once I read somewhere that she was in hospital for a diet or procedure she was doing to get skinny. I never really cared for her, she's common.
