SHANNA GETS THE LAST WORD!

October 19, 2006

Star reporter Shira Levine caught up with beauty queen-turned-reality TV star Shanna Moakler, 31, during a recent New York City event for the launch of Smirnoff Twisted V Arctic Berry vodka. In this exclusive interview, Shanna opens up about being voted off Dancing With the Stars, her planned return for the finale', her breakup with husband Travis Barker...and she gets the last word in on Paris Hilton!

Are you keeping in touch with your former Dancing With the Stars cast members?

“I'm a Dancing With the Stars correspondant with Extra!, and I’m going to come back for the finale and do a little more dancing.”

Was it hard being booted off the show?

“I’m used to rejection. I am an actress from L.A. I can totally handle it. It was only sad because I was having SO much fun and I was losing so much weight. I’ve lost like ten pounds!”

Who do you think it going to win?

“I think Mario Lopez is going to win. It will be Mario and [partner] Karina Smirnoff, and maybe Emmett Smith and [partner] Cheryl Burke in the finals.”

So are you dating anyone new right now?

“No, I have a serious crush. I can’t even give you a clue. He’s not famous. He’s fabulous. I am taking it very, very slowly.”

Is there any chance of reconciliation between you and Travis?

"No, absolutely not. I don’t even know if us speaking to each other will happen for a very long time. He sees our kids on the weekends. Sadly, I have been through this before and I know the proper steps to take to make sure they stay healthy and confident and well-balanced.”

It's being reported that Paris Hilton and Travis are now hot and heavy — and allegedly, this isn’t the first time Paris has gone after a love interest of yours. (Paris reportedly hooked up with Shanna’s ex-fiancee, boxer Oscar De La Hoya shortly after they broke up.)

“There are some women who are like that, they get off on that and they enjoy that. And if she wants my seconds, well, she can have them. Paris can have my sloppy seconds!”
