UPDATE: JESSICA'S WARDROBE MALFUNCTION DROVE HER TO TEARS!

It was Jessica Simpson's faulty dress that made her cry during a tribute performance to Dolly Parton at the Kennedy Center Honors event on Nov. 3.
As she sang a version of "Nine to Five" to honor Parton, reports say she was seen on tape grabbing the strapless gown with one arm, while holding a microphone.
She was able to keep her gown up until the end of the song, but was visibly upset as she ran off stage.
Access Hollywood has learned the footage will not air during the televised special, which will air on Dec. 26 at 9pm on CBS.

During a tribute performance to Dolly Parton at the Kennedy Center Honors event last night, Jessica Simpson messed up her rendition of the Parton classic "Nine to Five" and wound up in tears.
She ended her song, made the excuse of "so nervous" and then exited the stage. The audience did not applaud. When she came back on with the other singers she was crying.
Other honoress included Steven Spielberg, Smokey Robinson, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Zubin Mehta. Attendees included Shania Twain, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood and Reese Witherspoon.
