JEN, VINCE & HIS HOT FLING:
THE STORY BEHIND STAR'S STORY
* On Friday, Dec. 1, Star began its investigation of our exclusive story about Vince Vaughn's sexy night in a Budapest, Hungary hotel room with gorgeous, 20-year-old American college student Laura Mallory Lane.
As part of our investigation, Star had obtained an e-mail (see photo, below) sent to a large number of Lane's friends, in which she breathlessly detailed meeting Vince in Budapest on the evening of Saturday, Nov. 25; how they ended up "messing around" together in Vince's hotel suite that night; and how Vince sweetly kissed her goodbye as he walked her out of the hotel early Sunday morning, after they watched the sunrise together in Vince's "gigantic beautiful bed." Lane also added, "...and yes, we talked about Jen."
Star also confirmed, through Hungarian news reports and an exclusive eyewitness source, that Vaughn had indeed been in Budapest on Nov. 24 and Nov. 25.
* On Monday, Dec. 4, Lane updated her personal travelogue blogsite www.ladolcevita2006.blogspot.com with an entry that bragged about her "getting to meet and hang out with Vince Vaughn" in Budapest (see photo, below).
Early that Monday, as part of our standard operating procedure, Star e-mailed Laura Mallory Lane for her comments on her evening with Vaughn; Lane did not reply. As well, we contacted Vince Vaughn's publicist, John Pisani (who was in London with Vaughn), and an assistant to Vaughn's manager, Eric Gold, asking for Vince's comments on our developing story and an explanation of the current status of his relationship with Jen Aniston. Star also contacted the office of Aniston's rep, Stephen Huvane, asking for Jen's comment on the status of the relationship. Huvane did not reply.
* On Tuesday, Dec. 5, Star received a phone call in New York at 11am from Vaughn's rep, John Pisani, in London. After a brief discussion of Star's story and an agreement to talk again shortly, Pisani never called back.
* On Wednesday, Dec. 6, Lane removed any mention of Vince Vaughn from her personal blogsite's Dec. 4 entry (see photo, below).
NOTE: As of Thurs., Dec. 7 at 2:30 pm/ET, Laura Mallory Lane appears to have shut down her personal blogsite, www.ladolcevita2006.blogspot.com.
That same day, it is reported in other media that John Pisani and Stephen Huvane have released a statement confirming that Vince Vaughn and Jen Aniston "mutually agreed to end their relationship" after she visited him in London during the weekend of October 27.
Hmmm...Could it be that Star's impending world exclusive finally forced Vaughn and Aniston, after previous denials and weeks of silence, to face the reality of their romantic situation?
