I WENT TO TORI'S YARD SALE...AND THIS IS WHAT I SAW!

December 10, 2006

Tori Spelling invited the public to a giant yard sale at her Studio City, Calif., home this weekend, and Star was there for the shopping extravaganza! On Dec. 8, Star’s Jessica Schimmel attended the sale’s first day (it ends on Dec. 11) and described the scene:

“The whole thing was being filmed for Tori's new reality show. The first customer arrived at 5:30 a.m., and by the time I got there at 7:45 a.m., I was number 35!  Everyone was greeted with heavy security and signed a waiver. Her house was swarmed with television outlets, helicopters and news anchors. Tori finally opened the doors around 10 a.m. She greeted the TV outlets and then spent the rest of the time in her backyard with her publicist. Suddenly, people were emerging with vintage Louis Vuitton luggage (ranging from $100-$225) and jewelry.

“Once in her home, you had free reign. You could go through her drawers, closets, medicine cabinets, and even her garage. People were rifling through her lingerie closet where one woman found a black whip she bought for $20. There were used cosmetics, candles and perfumes. Tori autographed a bunk bed that she sold to a woman for her son, and there was plenty of 90210 merchandise up for grabs. High end furniture and paintings were also available, hangers that had Tori's name on them, and even a Tori's Week calendar for $40.”

Not surprisingly, much of Tori’s belongings are already up on eBay. As of Dec. 10, Tori’s open-toe, Chanel sandals were going for $99; roller skates, $45; Prada silk and cashmere scarf, $99; and a beaded evening bag, $75.

Tori's yard sale was filmed for her new Oxygen network reality show, which will chronicle Tori and Dean's attempts at opening a Bed & Breakfast. Tori's intent by filming the sale, is to poke fun at her supposed multi-million-dollar inheritance.
