Newly-single Britney Spears has bought a new home in Beverly Hills — and Star has all of the exclusive details! “Britney’s new house is a perfect party pad,” celeb real estate insider Barbara Corcoran tells Star.
The 7,400-square-foot Mediterranean villa, located in the exclusive gated community of Summit Circle, just off of Coldwater Canyon, is listed at a whopping $7.2 million! The gorgeous home -- with a swimming pool, of course -- has five bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, as well as a library, media room and maid’s quarters, according to Corcoran, who didn’t broker the deal, but has the inside scoop on the home! “It’s on the best street in the Summit Circle gated community, on a quiet cul-de-sac..and it needs absolutely no work,” Corcoran, the author of If You Don't Have Big Breasts, Put Ribbons On Your Pigtails, tells Star.
Plus, talk about luxe living! “It has a dramatic curved balcony, overlooking a huge open living room and kitchen with an adjacent screening room,” Corcoran says. “It also has a pool and hot tub in the backyard!”
And Britney’s new home is one of the priciest in Beverly Hills! “There are 220 homes for sale in Beverly Hills right now, and the most expensive is $33 million: Britney’s new home ranks #32 among the most expensive homes for sale,” says Corcoran, who regularly dishes about real estate on Good Morning America.
Meanwhile, a source tells Star, "Britney looked at the home on Thursday, Dec. 7. She brought like seven or eight people. They were her bodyguards and a few male dancer friends. She stayed for five hours and said she wanted the house immediately. She then got ready in one of the bedrooms at the house for her night out on the town. She took forever to do her hair and makeup. It was such a scene! She came off as very high maintenance. Nice, but demanding. It was obvious she was used to getting what she wanted."
And Britney sure is anxious to ditch the mansion she shared with Kevin Federline in Malibu – which is a bit larger, at 9,000-square-feet. "She asked the sellers to get out right away," says the source. "So they moved to a hotel on December 12."
The sellers managed to get all their belongings out in that short five day period, but left the furniture behind because Britney wanted to keep it, the source adds.
"Britney liked the house just as it was," says the source. "She didn't want to have to wait for new furniture to be brought in."
